Meet Zoe Anderson- owner of W.A. Green, award winning store in the heart of Shoreditch, London.
Zoe has curated the store in-line with her belief that like fashion, personal moods and tastes can change with the season. It’s this view that has incited her to present a continually evolving aesthetic based on evoking feelings of happiness inspired by her travels around Europe and California.
W.A Green will be one of the first stores to stock the latest home accessories brand that landed at MOXON - the Australian Capra Designs. Their colourful pots and accessories are all skilfully handmade and influenced by the lines, shapes and simplicity of Mid-Century Modern design - with a touch of earthy desert colours.
We seized this opportunity to ask Zoe more about her store, what's new and what are the current trends in giftware.
Founded in 2017, W.A.Green is an award winning, maximalist retailer selling a bold edit of homeware. We love colour, we love bold design and we love working with independent designers.
We don’t follow trends, we follow our heart and if it doesn’t make us feel good we don’t stock it. We know all our suppliers personally and work with them based on their ethical status, how they source their products and how they treat their people. We’re passionate about the planet and do everything we can to help, from working with electric delivery drivers to packing with compostable foam chips.
Our mission is simple: to bring a little hit of dopamine to everyone’s home.
This Christmas will all be about colour and positivity. Pinterest saw a huge spike in April for Christmas which you don’t normally start seeing until July so we know our customers are already invested in how they can maximise their Christmas this year. With no office parties planned, home tablescapes will be taking centre stage so colourful glassware and dining crockery with brightly coloured candles are where the parties at this year.
With customers being at home and being more able to look after their houseplants the demand for unique planters and colourful pots for their greenery is also high on the ‘Dear Santa’ list.
