Well, good news! According to life coach and MiGoals CEO Adam Jelic, this is a pivotal time to turn your luck around - all with a bit of a push in the right direction.

Adam has managed to build an entire MiGoals empire, and a loyal following of achieving 'goal diggers', with his simple (but very effective) tonic to success. The secret? Pen and paper, and a whole lot of focus.

Ready for Adam to show you how? Here are the ten most common success-slumps, and how you should combat them NOW.

 MiGoals Bucket List Diaries

1. My goals have changed since the start of the year, what should I do?

‘A better question to ask yourself is why have they changed? Make sure the reasons why make sense to you and aren’t simply just an excuse to give up because it’s too hard.’

‘The reality is it’s perfectly okay to change your goals. If you realise that the goals you set earlier on in the year don’t mean as much to you anymore and your energy would be better spent on goals that actually excite and inspire you, then make the change. There’s no point in working towards goals you no longer care about.’

2. What's the best way to manage multiple goals?

‘Create lasting habits that allow you to effectively and efficiently manage multiple goals on the go without burning yourself out. As a guide, try to stick to a maximum of 5 goals at one time.’

‘You’ll also need to prioritise which goals will make the biggest positive impact in your life, then spend more time and energy on these. A good way to work out which goals are most important is to consider what you value most and how that relates to what goals you focus on and prioritise.’

3. Is it okay to just have business/career goals?

‘Yes, it’s okay. However, it’s important to remember that there's more to life than just building your career and business. Think about how having health, fitness, lifestyle or relationship goals might positively impact your business/career goals.’

‘Finding a balance in your life is important so you don’t have extremes in your life where you totally neglect the things that are truly valuable in the pursuit of things that inflate your egos.’

4. I've stopped using my planner, how do I get inspired to start again?

‘Now’s the perfect opportunity to step back and take some time to review where you’re at in your life right now and as a result, work out where you want to be. Realign the goals you set at the start of the year and establish whether you need to revise them or delete them altogether.’

‘After you’ve re-established or confirmed your goals, now’s the time to simply start using the planner once or twice a week. Make a date with yourself on Sundays to prepare yourself for the week ahead and reflect on the week that’s passed. This simple habit will inspire you to start using the planner on a more regular basis as you start building that excitement and momentum towards achieving your goals.’

5. I haven't achieved any of my goals yet, what should I do?

‘Don’t be too hard on yourself, this happens a lot! Take a few steps back and start with goals that you’re pretty damn confident you can smash. For example, instead of trying to save £2k a month, try and save £250 a month to get some small wins on the board to build your confidence and momentum.’

‘Once you start hitting those smaller goals you can then start making them a little bigger until you get to a point you relook at those big hairy audacious goals that once seemed impossible, as being possible now that you truly believe you can do it.‘

6. I feel overwhelmed creating an action plan for my goals, how can I get over this feeling?

‘Don’t think, just do. Stop trying to be perfect and instead pull out a scrap piece of paper to brain dump all the tasks you can come up with in your head (don’t worry too much about the structure).’

‘Then start putting those items into logical steps in the goal pages of your planner. All of a sudden the path becomes a lot clearer and the steps to achieve your goals become a lot less overwhelming.’

7. I'm crushing my goals, how do I keep the momentum going?

‘Awesome! Now’s the time to acknowledge your efforts and celebrate what you’ve achieved. The more you celebrate your wins, the more you can appreciate what you’ve accomplished. Use the momentum you’ve already built to start ramping things up to the next level. Life’s about constant growth and progress so challenge yourself to take on some bigger goals.’

‘Start to think about how you can positively impact other people and help them to achieve their goals. This might be as simple as offering encouraging words to your friends and family or reach a wider group of people by sharing an article or video about what you did to achieve your goals.’

8. I've been so busy that my goals have been put on the back burner. How can I prioritise my goals without feeling like I'm taking on too much?

‘The real question here is have you been busy for the sake of being busy? Reflect on whether the busyness you’re feeling has translated into taking you closer to your dreams and goals.’

‘If the answer is no, then maybe it's time to say no to more of those trivial tasks and start focusing on tasks that actually bring you closer to achieving your goals.’

9. I'm just not feeling excited about my goals, what should I do?

‘Looks like you’re setting some boring goals that you don’t really care about! Goal setting shouldn’t be this boring or intimidating thing we “have to” do. Instead, it should be something exciting and inspiring. Remember how excited you were about planning your holiday? You should be just as excited to plan out your life.’

‘If the answer is no, then maybe it's time to say no to more of those trivial tasks and start focusing on tasks that actually bring you closer to achieving your goals.’

10. I'm excited about the next 6 months but don't know where to start, what should I do?

‘It’s an exciting time as there’s so much time and opportunity left in the year! To remove some of that overwhelm, get clear on where you want to head in the next 6 months. Create a clear vision by asking yourself what’s most important to me? What goals do I want to achieve? What are the steps I need to take to achieve this goal?’

‘Now, share your goals with people who actually care. Having people around you who support you and your goals will make a huge positive impact keeping you accountable.’
