How to Achieve a Mid-Year Reset

The halfway mark of the year always seems to creep up on us. One minute, we're scribbling down New Year’s resolutions with fresh energy and then all of a sudden, it's June, and life has been taken over with loads of stuff that was never on your to-do list.

If your goals have slipped off your radar or your motivation feels a little off track, us too! It's hard to keep inspired and focused for an entire 12 months. That's why a mid-year reset and review is great for realigning our goals and getting back on track with intentional actions.

At MOXON we sell loads of tools designed to help you get clear, stay accountable, and most importantly, show yourself a little kindness along the way.

Even so, the overwhelm can make it hard to know what to concentrate on so we have consolidated all the tips and tricks from our wide range of resources to make things easier for you.

Here’s how to pause, reflect, and reset for the second half of the year:

1. Reflect: Where Are You Now?

Before you set new intentions, take a moment to reflect.

Reflection isn’t about judgement, it's about understanding where you are against where you wanted to be, are you on track?

Tip: What have you ticked off? What challenges popped up? What goals still light you up, and which ones feel outdated?

Reflection questions to guide you:
✅ What am I proud of so far this year?
✅ What lessons have I learned?
✅ Where do I need to be kinder to myself?

2. Use your reflection to reset Your Goals

Goals don’t have to be set in stone. Life evolves, and your goals should too. Whether you’re chasing a promotion, building healthier habits, or craving more work-life balance, now’s the time to realign.

Quick Reset Exercise:

  • Write down ONE key goal for each area of your life (career, health, personal growth, etc.).

  • Break each into small, achievable steps.

  • Set a realistic timeline.

Remember: small, consistent actions beat grand intentions that never leave your notebook.

3. Practice Daily Gratitude

Gratitude isn’t just a feel-good exercise it's proven to boost motivation, resilience, and overall wellbeing. It shifts your mindset from “I’m not there yet” to “Look how far I’ve come.”

Try this:
Each evening, jot down 3 things you’re grateful for, no matter how small. A good coffee, a supportive friend, showing up for yourself today. Over time, you’ll build a mindset that fuels momentum.

4. Create Your Mid-Year Action Plan

Now that you’ve reflected, reset your goals, and sparked gratitude, it’s time to take action.

Simple Mid-Year Action Plan:
✔ Review your top 3 goals.
✔ Break them into monthly, weekly, and daily tasks
✔ Set reminders
✔ Celebrate your wins,  big or small

5. Be Kind to Yourself

A mid-year reset isn’t about hustling harder, it’s about intentional living. Life doesn’t always go to plan, but with the right tools, mindset, and a little gratitude, you can finish the year strong, focused, and proud.
